Colon, Joseph

Colon, Joseph
(c. 1420-80)
   Italian rabbinic scholar. He was born in France. He served as rabbi in various Italian communities, including Pavia, which he made the centre of Italian talmudic learning. After his death his responsa were collected and published. His decisions had considerable influence on later Italian halakhah.
